It was designed to test real-life language skills and allows test takers to showcase their proficiency and be themselves in English.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether people are looking to work, study or migrate to Canada, there\u2019s a Pearson English language proficiency test that suits their requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Why Was PTE Core Created?<\/h3>\n<p>Pearson\u2019s website reads that the Core was created in response to Canada\u2019s economic migration needs in 2024 and beyond. Canada\u2019s ambitious immigration level plans, combined with its support for family reunification and refugee protection, require a test such as the PTE Core to be introduced.<\/p>\n<p>There is high demand in Canada for professionals working in nursing, engineering, and web development, wherein PTE Core \u201carrives at a good time for test takers and opens new opportunities for Pearson.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/h3>\n<p>Candidates must obtain a minimum level of CLB or NCLC\u202f7\u202ffor the first official language in all four language areas. To receive points for a second official language, candidates must meet the minimum level of CLB or NCLC\u202f5\u202fin all four language areas.<\/p>\n<h3>Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/h3>\n<p>Candidates must obtain a minimum level of CLB or NCLC\u202f5\u202fin speaking and listening abilities, and CLB or NCLC\u202f4\u202fin reading and writing abilities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Watch Video\u202f<\/b><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t0XFeMRIX8M?si=lU36OTaH4-ImNBq7\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Canadian Experience Class<\/h3>\n<p>The skills a candidate needs for this program depend on the job classification under Canada\u2019s National Occupational Classification (NOC):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TEER 0 or 1: CLB \/ NCLC 7 +<\/li>\n<li>TEER 2 or 3: CLB \/ NCLC 5 and 6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Canada also requires minimum language levels for citizenship and many other immigration programs, including provincial and business.<\/p>\n<p>To measure the language levels, the immigration authorities use the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) for English and the Niveaux de comp\u00e9tence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) for French.<\/p>\n<h3>What Does PTE Core Look Like?<\/h3>\n<p>The fully digital test is delivered via Pearson VUE, which is Pearson\u2019s computer-based testing business.<\/p>\n<p>It utilizes the latest AI technology, calibrated and reviewed by human raters, for scoring and biometric data collection. This, as per Pearson, is the source of advanced security measures.<\/p>\n<p>The technology ensures the provision of an impartial and accurate test of someone\u2019s language proficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The test can also be booked online up to 24 hours in advance, taking advantage of year-round worldwide test center slots.
