We want to help you move to Canada.<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/form.immigration.ca\/skilled-worker\/en\"><b>Please submit your CV here.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Foreign nationals qualified to work as professionals in the diagnosing and treating of patients are going to have plenty of opportunities to gain <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/immigration-au-canada-apercu\/\">permanent residence<\/a>\u00a0in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>They are now included in occupation-targeted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-express-entry-immigration\/\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0system draws as the labour shortage for these healthcare workers is expected to persist until at least 2031.<\/p>\n<p>These healthcare professionals include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>chiropodists;<\/li>\n<li>doctors of naturopathic medicine;<\/li>\n<li>doctors of osteopathic medicine;<\/li>\n<li>doctors of podiatric medicine;<\/li>\n<li>foot specialists;<\/li>\n<li>naturopathic doctors;<\/li>\n<li>osteopathic physicians, and;<\/li>\n<li>podiatrist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Canadian Occupational Projection System (COPS) website is projecting there will be 700 fewer job seekers for these positions over the coming nine years than there will be newly-opened positions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Read More<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/ontario-targets-family-doctors-and-nurses-with-1696-canada-express-entry-immigration-invitations\/\">Ontario Targets Family Doctors And Nurses With 1,696 Canada Express Entry Immigration Invitations<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/british-columbia-issues-at-least-205-canada-immigration-invitations-in-new-pnp-draw\/\">British Columbia Issues At Least 205 Canada Immigration Invitations In New PNP Draw<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-targets-farming-and-food-occupations-with-600-express-entry-itas\/\">Canada Targets Farming And Food Occupations With 600 Express Entry ITAs<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u201cAs job openings and job seekers are projected to be similar over the 2022 &#8211; 2031 period, it is expected that the shortage between labour supply and demand seen in recent years will continue over the projection period,\u201d notes the COPS website.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly half of the new job openings will come from existing workers in the field retiring and 37 per cent will come from growth in demand for these types of healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the Canadian population ages, the demand for health services and, consequently, the need for healthcare professionals is expected to increase,\u201d notes the COPS website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor example, the demand for eye care services is anticipated to grow steadily, given the prevalence of age-related eye conditions. Similarly, many individuals with health issues are projected to seek alternative solutions to traditional medicine, which, in conjunction with wider coverage from private insurance plans, is likely to boost demand for chiropractic care.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Video<\/b><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9pMHa85qwJU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Although there were already many ways for these other professionals in the diagnosing and treating of patients\u00a0to\u00a0immigrate\u00a0to\u00a0Canada,\u00a0Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) added one more pathway for them in May.<\/p>\n<p>That month, the IRCC changed\u00a0Canada\u2019s Express Entry system\u00a0to\u00a0allow it\u00a0to\u00a0target 82 jobs in healthcare, technology, trades, transport and agriculture starting this summer \u2013 including other professional occupations in health diagnosing and treating categorized under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canadas-new-noc-2021-for-immigration-and-work-permit-applications-takes-effect-today\/\">National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021<\/a>\u00a0system with the code\u00a031209\u00a0\u2013 and so opened the door\u00a0to\u00a0a new pathway\u00a0to\u00a0immigration\u00a0for them.<\/p>\n<p>The flagship Express Entry selection system had previously only conducted draws based on\u00a0immigration\u00a0programs, not by targeting specific occupations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverywhere I go, I\u2019ve heard loud and clear from employers across the country who are experiencing chronic labour shortages,\u201d said then-Immigration\u00a0Minister Sean Fraser.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese changes\u00a0to\u00a0the Express Entry system will ensure that they have the skilled workers they need\u00a0to\u00a0grow and succeed.\u00a0 We can also grow our economy and help businesses with labour shortages while also increasing the number of French-proficient candidates\u00a0to\u00a0help ensure the vitality of French-speaking communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The federal government\u2019s job-hunting and career-planning website, Jobbank, ranks the job prospects of these health diagnosing and treating professionals as very good, with its highest rating, over the next three years in British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan and good in Alberta.<\/p>\n<h3>Occupation-Targeted Draws Started For Express Entry Programs This Summer<\/h3>\n<p>In Canada, the median annual income for these healthcare workers\u00a0is $52,517 but that varies from a low of $27,446 right up\u00a0to\u00a0$107,748, reveals Jobbank.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates hoping\u00a0to\u00a0immigrate\u00a0through Express Entry occupation-targeted draws need at least six months of continuous work experience in Canada or abroad within the past three years in one of these occupations\u00a0to\u00a0be eligible, experience that can have been gained while working in Canada as temporary foreign workers with a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/visa-de-travail-canadien-travailler-au-canada\/\">work permits<\/a>\u00a0or as an international student with a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/travailler-etudier-au-canada\/\">student visa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the changes announced at the end of May, the Express Entry streams, including the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/travailleurs-qualifies-vue-densemble\/\">Federal Skilled Worker<\/a>\u00a0(FSW) program,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/programme-des-travailleurs-de-metiers-specialises\/\">Federal Skilled Trades<\/a>\u00a0(FST) program and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/categorie-de-lexperience-canadienne\/\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0(CEC), as well as parts of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/appercu-des-programmes-des-candidats-des-provinces\/\">Provincial Nominee Programs<\/a>\u00a0(PNP) are now more responsive\u00a0to\u00a0labour market needs.<\/p>\n<p>Canada first signalled its intention\u00a0to\u00a0start occupation-specific draws through Express Entry in June last year, when changes were made\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0<i>Immigration, Refugee and Protection Act<\/i>\u00a0to\u00a0allow invitations based on occupations and other attributes, such as language ability.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of Canada\u2019s provinces have been issuing occupation-specific invitations for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Under the changes\u00a0to\u00a0the act, the\u00a0immigration\u00a0minister is required\u00a0to\u00a0consult provinces and territories, members of industry, unions, employers, workers, worker advocacy groups, settlement provider organizations, and\u00a0immigration\u00a0researchers and practitioners, before announcing new categories.<\/p>\n<p>IRCC must also report\u00a0to\u00a0parliament each year on the categories that were chosen and the reason for the choices.<\/p>\n<p>Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) says the number of occupations facing shortages doubled between 2019 and 2021.
