Access our expertise through our in-house recruitment enterprise\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skilledworker.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>skilledworker.com<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>, \u201cthe leader in foreign recruitment\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\">The latest figures from the IRCC show the country is on track to greatly exceed not only this year\u2019s targeted level of immigration but also the levels for each of the next two years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Projecting out from the first seven months of this year, Canada could expect to welcome 521,066 new permanent residents this year if the current trend continues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ontario, the country\u2019s most populous province, remained the most popular destination for newcomers with 133,715 of them choosing to immigrate there during the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">That\u2019s 12.3 per cent, or 14,650 new permanent residents, more than the 11,065 who immigrated to Ontario during the comparable period last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ontario is a magnet for immigration, attracting more than half of all immigrants in Canada<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The central Canadian province was the destination of choice for almost 44 per cent of all immigrants to Canada in the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Video<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9pMHa85qwJU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\">Economic programs, including the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/immigration-ontario\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Ontario\u00a0Immigrant\u00a0Nominee Program\u00a0<\/span><\/a>(OINP),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/agri-food-immigration-pilot\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Agri-Food\u00a0Immigration\u00a0Pilot<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(AFIP),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/categorie-de-lexperience-canadienne\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Canadian Experience Class<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(CEC),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-caregiver-immigration\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Caregiver<\/span><\/a>\u00a0programs,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/rural-and-northern-immigration-pilot\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Rural and Northern\u00a0Immigration\u00a0Pilot<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(RNIP),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/programme-des-travailleurs-de-metiers-specialises\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Federal Skilled Trades<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(FST) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/travailleurs-qualifies-vue-densemble\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Federal Skilled Worker<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(FSW) programs, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/start-up-visa-program\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Start-Up Visa<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(SUV) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/entrepreneurs-self-employed-provincial-programs\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Self-Employed Persons<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(SEP) programs, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/new-pathway-to-pr-for-workers-graduates-in-canada\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Temporary\u00a0Resident\u00a0to\u00a0Permanent\u00a0Resident\u00a0Pathway<\/span><\/a>\u00a0accounted for slightly more than half, 50.4 per cent, of all\u00a0new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0coming to\u00a0Ontario\u00a0in the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Those programs helped 67,465 new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0arrive in\u00a0Ontario\u00a0in the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Another 37,005\u00a0new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0arrived in\u00a0Ontario\u00a0through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/apercu-de-limmigration-de-parrainage-familial\/\"><span class=\"s5\">family sponsorships<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and 23,300 came to that province through Canada\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/protection-des-refugies\/\"><span class=\"s5\">refugee<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and protected persons programs in the first seven months of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The other provinces and territories attracted the following number of\u00a0new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0each during that period:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Newfoundland and Labrador \u2013 3,540<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Prince Edward Island \u2013 2,285<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Nova Scotia \u2013 7,345<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">New\u00a0Brunswick \u2013 6,525<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Quebec \u2013 33,550<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Manitoba \u2013 16,760<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Saskatchewan \u2013 16,505<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Alberta \u2013 35,955<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">British Columbia \u2013 46,910<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Yukon \u2013 605<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Northwest Territories \u2013 215<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Nunavut &#8211; 35<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Despite the Quebec government\u2019s repeated insistence that it will cap immigration at 50,000 new permanent residents this year, the francophone province is currently on track to welcome 57,514 new permanent residents based on the trend set in the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Atlantic Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador was by far the province with the fastest rate of immigration growth in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the first seven months of this year, the Rock, as the province is affectionately called, saw an immigration boom of 109.5 per cent compared to the same period\u00a0last\u00a0year, with 3,540\u00a0new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0for that period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">But the biggest difference on the Rock has been its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/immigration-terre-neuve\/\"><span class=\"s5\">Provincial Nominee Program<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(PNP) which saw growth of 351.6 per cent in its number of\u00a0new\u00a0permanent\u00a0residents\u00a0in the first seven months of this year, or 1,850 more newcomers to the province during that period than for the comparable one last year.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #c81c2f;\">Are you ready to live and work in Canada?
