The Prairie province of\u00a0Manitoba\u00a0sent out 615 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) to immigration candidates through its Manitoba\u00a0Provincial Nominee Program<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(MPNP) Thursday.<\/p>\n

In the Aug. 10 draw, Manitoba targeted candidates applying through its Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM), Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO), and International Education streams.<\/p>\n

Machine operators and labourers targeted in SWM draw<\/h3>\n

Through the SWM stream, the province sent out 249 LAAs to candidates with a minimum score of 605 in an occupation-targeted draw to bring more machine operators and labourers.<\/p>\n

The machine operators, assemblers and inspectors in processing, manufacturing and printing are categorized under the National Occupational Classification (NOC)\u00a02021<\/span><\/a> as a Training, Education, Experience and Responsibility (TEER) level four.<\/span><\/p>\n

The labourers in processing, manufacturing and utilities targeted in this draw are categorized as TEER five occupations.<\/p>\n

Through the SWM stream, Manitoba also sent out 279 LAAs to candidates with a minimum score of 647 in a draw which did not target specific occupations.<\/p>\n

The SWM is based on the specific needs of\u00a0Manitoba\u00a0employers and tries to select foreign-trained workers with the required skills for permanent residence. The stream prioritizes candidates with a strong attachment to\u00a0Manitoba, with two pathways to\u00a0Manitoba\u00a0immigration.<\/p>\n

Manitoba sends out 40 LAAs to SWO stream candidates<\/h3>\n

Through the International Education Stream (IES), the province sent out 47 LAAs.<\/p>\n

The IES, which has three pathways, is dedicated to international graduates from Manitoba colleges and universities. Under it, candidates are no longer required to work for six months in their field before applying for an MPNP nomination.<\/p>\n

And through its Skilled Worker Overseas stream, Manitoba sent out a further 40 LAAs to candidates with a minimum score of 708.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the 615 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw, 43 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span> profile number and job seeker validation code,\u201d noted the province on its website.<\/p>\n

The SWO includes both a dedicated Canada Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway.<\/p>\n

It is aimed at international skilled workers with skills and training in Manitoba\u2019s in-demand occupations. Priority is given to applicants and spouses with close family connections, plus the language proficiency, training and experience to find jobs quickly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
