He later explained he had learnt the language lessons in a spirit of reconciliation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He is also fluent in French and has served as the parliamentary secretary to the minister of infrastructure and communities, the same ministry the former immigration minister is now heading up.<\/p>\n<h3>New Immigration Minister Delivered First-Ever Speech To The House Of Commons In Mohawk Language<\/h3>\n<p>Miller\u2019s on-going, close relationship with the prime minister is likely to be a big asset for him in his role as the country\u2019s new immigration minister.
