However, it has recently begun conducting draws outside that schedule.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Read More<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/top-10-most-in-demand-jobs-in-canadian-province-of-prince-edward-island\/\">Top 10 Most In-Demand Jobs in Canadian Province of Prince Edward Island<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/how-to-immigrate-to-canadian-province-of-prince-edward-island\/\">How to Immigrate to Canadian Province of Prince Edward Island<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>PEI PNP Immigration Draw<\/b><\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"middle\"><b>Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\"><b>Category<\/b><\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\"><b>Invites Issued<\/b><\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\"><b>Minimum\u00a0Score<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"middle\">01-12-2022<\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\">Labour Impact\/Express Entry<\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\">69<\/td>\n<td valign=\"middle\">N\/A<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<hr \/>\n<p>PEI launched its <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/prince-edward-island-immigration-draws\/\">Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018 and has made monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/prince-edward-island-immigration-draws\/\">draws<\/a> ever since, with some disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Watch Video<\/b><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2WIqzzzTfYM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>PEI issued a total of 1,933 invites during 2021, compared to 1,955 in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 2021 invites, 1,764 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 169 going to Business Impact candidates.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream<\/h3>\n<p>PEI\u2019s Express Entry category operates by considering candidates already in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">federal Express Entry Pool<\/a>\u00a0for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Such a nomination adds 600 points to a candidate\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/comprehensive-ranking-system-crs\/\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score and effectively guarantees an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/invitations-apply-permanent-residence-itas\/\">Invitation to Apply<\/a>\u00a0(ITA) for Canadian immigration.<\/p>\n<p>The PEI Express Entry Category features two pathways to Canadian permanent residence, one for candidates with a job offer and one for those without.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Labour Impact Category<\/h3>\n<p><b>1) Skilled Worker Stream<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This employer-driven stream allows skilled workers with an employment offer in PEI to be nominated for Canadian Permanent residence if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full time employment offer from a Prince Edward Island business in an occupation classified as TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC);<\/li>\n<li>Completion of post-secondary education, with a minimum of 14 years of formal education;<\/li>\n<li>Between 21 and 55 years of age;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of full time work experience in the past 5 years;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient proficiency in English or French to occupy the employment offered;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient settlement funds;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>2) Critical Worker Stream<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This category is designed to resolve labour shortages and is open to foreign workers already in PEI with employment in specific critical-demand occupations. The primary criteria for nomination are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full time offer of employment from a Prince Edward Island business in one of the following occupations:\n<ul>\n<li>Truck driver;<\/li>\n<li>Customer service representative;<\/li>\n<li>Labourer;<\/li>\n<li>Food &amp; beverage server;<\/li>\n<li>Housekeeping attendant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>6 months of work experience with the Prince Edward Island business offering employment;<\/li>\n<li>Current valid Canadian work permit;<\/li>\n<li>High school diploma and minimum of 12 years of formal education;<\/li>\n<li>Between 21 and 55 years of age;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of full-time work experience in the past 5 years;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate basic proficiency in English or French language;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient settlement funds;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Business Impact Category<\/h3>\n<p><b>Work Permit Stream<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Individuals applying under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/prince-edward-island-work-permit-business-immigration\/\">P.E.I. Work Permit Stream<\/a>\u00a0must obtain a Canadian work permit and work for a P.E.I. business for a certain amount of time as designated in a Performance Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>After the Performance Agreement is fulfilled, the applicant must make a minimum $150,000 investment in the business and commit to managing the business on a daily basis from within P.E.I.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Prince Edward Island operated direct permanent residence business streams, but these were closed in September 2018 over immigration fraud concerns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prince Edward Island has issued invitations to apply to 69 skilled worker Canada immigration candidates in an unscheduled provincial draw.
