{"id":10802,"date":"2016-09-08T20:28:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T20:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/fr\/?p=10802"},"modified":"2016-09-08T20:28:00","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T20:28:00","slug":"ontarios-gdp-boost-reason-optimism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/ontarios-gdp-boost-reason-optimism\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario\u2019s GDP Boost a Reason for Optimism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ontario\u2019s economy is threatening to throw off the growth shackles felt across the major countries of the world, if first-quarter figures are anything to go by.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian province posted real GDP growth of 0.8 per cent for January to March, putting a 2016 total of 3.2 per cent on the cards.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"img593\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Ontario\u2019s GDP Boost a Reason for Optimism\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/images\/ontario-gdp.png\" alt=\"Ontario\u2019s economy is threatening to throw off the growth shackles felt across the major countries of the world, if first-quarter figures are anything to go by\" width=\"442\" height=\"155\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That significantly beats not only the 2.2 per cent federal projection, but also Canada-wide data, and estimations for the USA and every other G7 nation.<\/p>\n<p>The quarterly performance also thrashes the GDP increases of the last three first quarters (0.2 per cent in 2015, 0.3 per cent in 2014 and 0.4 per cent in 2013).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"img4688\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Ontario GDP Increase (Quarterly)\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/images\/graphs\/Ontario-GDP-Increase-Quarterly.png\" width=\"468\" height=\"227\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Provincial Premier Kathleen Wynne puts it down to her government\u2019s economic plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very pleased that Ontario\u2019s economy posted strong growth in the first quarter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Export growth of 1.7 per cent and a 1.2 per cent manufacturing boost are some of the figures behind the increase.
