{"id":107543,"date":"2022-11-23T14:16:10","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T19:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/crs-score-drops-in-new-canada-express-entry-draw\/"},"modified":"2022-11-23T14:38:17","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T19:38:17","slug":"canada-conducts-first-express-entry-draw-since-noc-2021-implemented","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-conducts-first-express-entry-draw-since-noc-2021-implemented\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada Conducts First Express Entry Draw Since NOC 2021 Implemented"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canada has conducted a first\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0draw since the launch of the new National Occupational Classification system, issuing 4,750\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/invitations-apply-permanent-residence-itas\/\">Invitations to Apply<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The November 23 draw saw the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score drop to 491, the lowest since the post-pandemic resumption.<\/p>\n<p>It means Canada has issued 45,115 invitations in 2022, the majority coming since all-program draws returned in July.<\/p>\n<p>Canada moved to NOC 2021 on November 16, meaning candidates were required to update their profiles in the Express Entry pool.<\/p>\n<p>IRCC issued a record 114,431 ITAs in 2021, all to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and PNP candidates. It beat the previous record of 107,350 set in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The latest draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on October 13, 2022, at 7.22am EST. If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.<\/p>\n<p>This was the 24<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0round of invitations under\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0in 2022 and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/express-entry-immigration-draws\/\">236<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0overall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada says new applications will be processed in the six-month standard for Express Entry. Candidates have a 60-day window to submit their applications.<\/p>\n<h3>What is Express Entry?<\/h3>\n<p>Express Entry is an immigration system implemented by Canadian immigration authorities (IRCC) on January 1, 2015 which manages skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programs. This includes the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/travailleurs-qualifies-vue-densemble\/\">Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/programme-des-travailleurs-de-metiers-specialises\/\">Federal Skilled Trades Program\u00a0<\/a>the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/categorie-de-lexperience-canadienne\/\">Canada Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0and parts of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/appercu-des-programmes-des-candidats-des-provinces\/\">Provincial Nomination Programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholders expect to see high numbers of invitations return as Canada builds towards its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/ottawa-boosts-immigration-beyond-record-breaking-level-with-latest-plan\/\">target of 431,645 new permanent residents in 202<\/a>2.
