{"id":10737,"date":"2016-09-08T19:17:36","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T19:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/fr\/?p=10737"},"modified":"2016-09-08T19:17:36","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T19:17:36","slug":"new-requirement-canadas-parent-grandparent-super-visa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/new-requirement-canadas-parent-grandparent-super-visa\/","title":{"rendered":"New Requirement for Canada\u2019s Parent and Grandparent Super Visa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canada\u2019s immigration authorities have changed the documents required for citizens and permanent residents to bring in their parents or grandparents from abroad on a <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/parents-and-grandparents-super-visa\/\">Super Visa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of an Option C printout, which involved making a call to the Canada Revenue Agency, applicants can now go online and access the document they require to prove the sponsoring child or grandchild meets the minimum income threshold.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"img2537\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"New Requirement for Canada\u2019s Parent and Grandparent Super Visa\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/images\/pics\/work_visa.png\" alt=\"Canada\u2019s immigration authorities have changed the documents required for citizens and permanent residents to bring in their parents or grandparents from abroad on a Super Visa.\" width=\"403\" height=\"278\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Through the My Account section of the CRA website, applicants can log in and print the required document themselves, removing the need for a phone call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis information is now reflected in the list of required documents for super visa applicants,\u201d said a press release from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The complete list of documents the parent or grandparent must provide is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A letter of invitation from their child or grandchild residing in Canada;<\/li>\n<li>One of the following documents to prove that the child or grandchild meets income requirements:\n<ul>\n<li>Most recent copy of the notice of assessment (if the child or grandchild does not have a paper copy of their notice of assessment on file, they can view and print their tax returns using the CRA My Account online service<\/li>\n<li>Most recent copy of the child or grandchild\u2019s T4 or T1<\/li>\n<li>Original letter from the child or grandchild\u2019s employer stating their job title, job description and salary<\/li>\n<li>Child or grandchild\u2019s employment insurance pay stubs<\/li>\n<li>Proof of the applicant\u2019s parental relationship to the child or grandchild (e.g., a copy of the child or grandchild\u2019s birth certificate, baptismal certificate or other official document naming the applicant as the parent)<\/li>\n<li>Proof of private medical insurance valid for a minimum of one year with a Canadian insurance company (a copy of the insurance certificate or policy) that\n<ul>\n<li>covers health care, hospitalization and repatriation,<\/li>\n<li>provides a minimum coverage of $100,000, and<\/li>\n<li>is valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port of entry officer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The maximum validity for the multiple entries Super Visa is ten years, or one month prior to the applicant\u2019s passport\u2019s expiry, whichever is earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Within that time, Super Visa holders can remain in Canada for periods of up to two years.
