href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-provincial-nominee-immigration-programs-overview\/\"><span class=\"s4\">Provincial Nominee Programs<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0was revealed this week as\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">Saskatchewan invited<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0500 new\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">applications and filled<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0them<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0inside 36 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s2\">Express Entry\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">a<\/span><span class=\"s2\">pplications for the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/saskatchewan-immigration\/\"><span class=\"s4\">Saskatchewan Immi<\/span><span class=\"s4\">grant Nominee Program<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0were\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">invite<\/span><span class=\"s2\">d at 1pm on Tuesday May 17th, and the stream was closed again by Wednesday night May 18th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s2\">Skilled workers can now only apply if they have a job offer, under the voiced<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0their co<\/span><span class=\"s2\">ncerns over the size of the quotas in their programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s2\">After closing its highest-volume streams recently,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/ontario-immigration\/\"><span class=\"s4\">Ontario<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0said it was in\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-closes-highest-volume-streams-2016\/\"><span class=\"s4\">discussions with the federal government<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0over the size of its allocation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s2\">The provinces see their programs as key to bringing in the specific types of skilled workers they need to boost their individual economies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Saskatchewan program is aimed at selecting applicants who have the education, experience, language proficiency and adaptability to contribute to the province&rsquo;s prosperity. Nomination is based on a points system, where applicants receive consideration under the following factors:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Education and Training;<\/li>\n<li>Work Experience;<\/li>\n<li>Language Ability;<\/li>\n<li>Age;<\/li>\n<li>Connections to Saskatchewan, including family, job offer, work or study experience in the province.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants must score a minimum of 60 out of a possible 100 points under the above mentioned selection factors to be considered for nomination. Applicants must also meet the following mandatory criteria:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Have been accepted into CIC\u2019s Express Entry pool and have an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code;<\/li>\n<li>Have completed a minimum of one year of post &#8211; secondary education or training which is comparable to the Canadian education system and has resulted in a degree, diploma, certificate, or a certificate equivalent to a trade certificate (that is verifiable);<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum level of work experience related to your field of education or training:\n<ul>\n<li>At least one year of work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades); OR<\/li>\n<li>At least two years of work experience in a skilled trade within the past five years; OR<\/li>\n<li>At least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non- trades).<\/li>\n<li>Have work experience in a high skilled occupation (NOC \u201c0\u201d, \u201cA\u201d or \u201cB\u201d) that is considered to be\u00a0in demand.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate sufficient settlement funds if applying without an approved job offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a minimum language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7, or higher if required by employers or regulatory bodies;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interested employers:\u00a0<\/strong>Kindly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/zone-employeurs-canadiens\/\">contact us<\/a>\u00a0here to receive further information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested candidates:<\/strong>\u00a0Find out whether you qualify to Canada by completing our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/formulaires-devaluation-gratuite-dimmigration\/\">free on-line evaluation<\/a>.
