Millennials say Canada is the best country in the world, according to a new wide-ranging survey from US News and World Report.<\/p>\n

\"MillennialsThe influential age-group set Canada apart from the rest when asked questions on how closely they associated countries with a range of characteristics.<\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s performance when it came to citizenship and business-related factors pushed it to the top of the pile for 18 to 35-year-olds, and into second when responses from all age groups were taken into account.<\/p>\n

Germany, the UK, Japan and the US rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n

The survey produced results in a number of categories, as well as the overall league table. Canada was ranked second best place to live, fifth for starting a career and sixth for dating.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Millennials will play a significant role in shaping national economies worldwide for decades to come,\u00a0\u00bb said Brian Kelly, editor and chief content officer of US News.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Capturing their perceptions is valuable in helping to determine the current and future possibilities of economic, political and cultural success in nations.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

The survey asked for responses from 16,000 people around the globe, 6,000 of which were in the millennial age bracket.<\/p>\n
