A new International Mobility Program will launch in June 2016 and aims to attract skilled francophone workers to Canada while encouraging them to settle in francophone minority communities outside of Quebec.<\/p>\n
From June 1, 2016, the Mobilit\u00e9 Francophone stream will exempt employers from the Labour Market Impact Assessment process when they hire francophone workers in managerial, professional and technical\/skilled trades\u2019 occupations.<\/p>\n
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada aims to have francophone newcomers make up at least 4% of all economic immigrants settling outside of Quebec by 2018.<\/p>\n
Immigration Minister John McCallum added, \u201cWe\u2019re going to encourage skilled francophone workers to apply for permanent residence if they would like to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCanada\u2019s diversity is enriched by our francophone minority communities all across the country,\u201dsaid Canadian Heritage Minister Melanie Joly. \u201cWe want to see these communities flourish across Canada and immigration is strategic to preserving their vitality and prosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n
