{"id":103234,"date":"2022-08-29T10:43:09","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T14:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-announces-expansion-of-rural-northern-immigration-pilot"},"modified":"2022-08-29T10:43:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-29T14:43:09","slug":"canada-announces-expansion-of-rural-northern-immigration-pilot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-announces-expansion-of-rural-northern-immigration-pilot\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada Announces Expansion of Rural &#038; Northern Immigration Pilot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canada has moved to expand the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/canada-launches-new-rural-and-northern-immigration-pilot\">Rural &amp; Northern Immigration Pilot<\/a> (RNIP) \u2013 although it will not add any new communities to the program.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced several changes to take effect in the fall, including the expansion of existing areas and an increase in the number of qualifying jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Communities will also be allowed to participate for a longer period \u2013 until August 24 \u2013 while Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has also moved to decrease the required settlement funds.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 RNIP communities are:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>North Bay (Ont.),<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Sudbury (Ont.),<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Timmins, (Ont.),<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Sault Ste.
