This includes the\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/skilled-worker-immigration-overview\/\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>, the\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/federal-skilled-trades-program\/\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Federal Skilled Trades Program\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>the\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/the-canada-experience-class-2\/\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Canada Experience Class<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>\u00a0and parts of the\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-provincial-nominee-immigration-programs-overview\/\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Provincial Nomination Programs<\/b><\/span><\/a><b>.<\/b><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91d50e9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"91d50e9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">All of the ITAs went to <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-provincial-nominee-immigration-programs-overview\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Provincial Nominee Program<\/span><\/a> (PNP) candidates, as Ottawa suspended all draws through federal programs, namely the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/skilled-worker-immigration-overview\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/the-canada-experience-class-2\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Canada Experience Class<\/span><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/federal-skilled-trades-program\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">The good news is the suspension is set to come to an end on July 6, with the resumption of all-program draws for the first time since late 2020. The last CEC-only draw took place in fall 2021.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><hr \/><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-100676\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ITAs-Issued-In-First-Half.png\" alt=\"ITAs Issued In First Half\" width=\"636\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ITAs-Issued-In-First-Half.png 910w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ITAs-Issued-In-First-Half-300x186.png 300w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ITAs-Issued-In-First-Half-768x476.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p><hr \/><p class=\"p1\">IRCC\u2019s resumption of all-program draws comes as the backlog under the High Skilled immigration stream has been dramatically reduced, although the overall backlog including other permanent residence streams, plus temporary residence and citizenship, has swelled to well over 2.2 million applications.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Ottawa is working to clear that backlog, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently setting up a task force with the aim of improving service delivery.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Increases are being caused by other programs, including the Temporary Residence to Permanent Residence (TR to PR) Pathway launched during the pandemic, and the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET), which promises to welcome an unlimited number of Ukrainians hit by Russia\u2019s war.<\/p><hr \/><p class=\"p1\"><b>Watch<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Aio7jFwRONk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p><hr \/><p class=\"p1\">With all-program draws resuming in July, the first half of 2022 will go down as the period Express Entry took a break, as Canada relied on its inventory of applications already received to supply a steady stream of new permanent residents, towards it target of nearly 432,000 newcomers this year.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Ottawa is already well on track to achieve this, welcoming nearly 150,000 newcomers up to the end of April. It makes them effectively guaranteed an ITA when all-program draws take place and has the effect of driving up minimum scores when PNP-only draws take place.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">For a minimum score of 796 in a PNP draw, as happened on June 8, the lowest-scoring candidate has only scored 196 on his or her core profile, adding a further 600 thanks to a provincial nomination.<\/p><hr \/><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-100646\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Minimum-CRS-Scores-For-Second-Quarter-PNP-Draws.png\" alt=\"Minimum CRS Scores For Second Quarter PNP Draws\" width=\"642\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Minimum-CRS-Scores-For-Second-Quarter-PNP-Draws.png 935w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Minimum-CRS-Scores-For-Second-Quarter-PNP-Draws-300x211.png 300w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Minimum-CRS-Scores-For-Second-Quarter-PNP-Draws-768x540.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 642px) 100vw, 642px\" \/><\/p><hr \/><h3 class=\"p1\">Express Entry in the Rest of 2022<\/h3><p class=\"p1\">All eyes are on Canada Express Entry in the remainder of 2022.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Candidates abroad in the pool have been waiting since December 2020 for a chance to receive an ITA, when the last draw that included the FSW program took place.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">On July 9, those candidates will finally get their chance to be invited.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">It seems likely that the resumption of all-program draws will be done slowly and careful by IRCC.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Ottawa has guaranteed a return to the six-month processing standard for candidates who received ITAs from July. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">It would therefore make sense to begin very carefully with the resumption of draws.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">It has already been stated that Canada had enough High Skilled applications in the inventory to hit its target in that stream this year.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Ottawa, therefore, does not need applicants invited from July to arrive this year.
