To be eligible, a community must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a population of fewer than 100,000 (based on the 2016 census).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be located outside the Calgary and Community Residency Requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must <strong>intend to live and work<\/strong> in their designated Alberta community when applying and during the assessment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ineligible applicants:<\/strong> Refugee claimants already in Canada cannot apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Community Endorsement Requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of application, candidates must have an <strong>Endorsement of Candidate letter<\/strong> from their designated rural community\u2019s EDO. The letter must confirm:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidate\u2019s <strong>full name<\/strong> and <strong>residential address<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Job offer details<\/strong>, including the employer\u2019s name, job duties, duration, and work conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the position supports <strong>economic growth<\/strong> in the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employer\u2019s <strong>recruitment efforts within Canada<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For EMPP refugees<\/strong>, a <strong>Referral Partner letter<\/strong> from an authorized organization must also be submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Work Experience Requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must have at least <strong>12 months of full-time experience<\/strong> (30 hours\/week) in the past <strong>18 months<\/strong> before applying.
