Alberta continued its targeted approach to economic immigration in April 2025, issuing a total of 165 invitations through four streams under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).
The province focused on attracting skilled workers in key sectors such as technology, tourism, and law enforcement, as well as through its general skilled worker stream.
Draw results included:
- April 22: 22 candidates invited under the Accelerated Tech Pathway via Alberta’s Express Entry Stream, with a minimum score of 71
- April 17: 2 candidates invited under the Law Enforcement Pathway, also through Express Entry, with a minimum score of 49
- April 15: 33 candidates invited through the Tourism and Hospitality Stream, with a minimum score of 73
- April 11: 108 candidates invited under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, with a minimum score of 77
These draws reflect Alberta’s ongoing strategy to address specific labour shortages and support economic growth by prioritising candidates with experience in high-demand occupations.
