I respectfully disagree, my wife was not primary but was listed as librarian as this was her occupation.

Unless your wife is a principal applicant, her present occupation will be homemaker. However you will get 5 points for her if she is a post graduate.
If your email id is wrong, you should send a letter to CHC to get this corrected.
For Jan 04 applicants, there is still 2-3 months more to go for medicals.

Hi,
In my CAIPS Notes, Under "DEPENDENT PERSONAL INFORMATION", for my wife (SPOUSE), Present Occupation has been marked as "Home Maker" like below;
PRESENT OCCUPATION: HOMEMAKER.
This is NOT True as she has been working in a Nationalized Bank from past 10 years and prior to present job, she has worked in many organizations like Wipro....
All the relevant documents were submitted to the Canadian High Commission-NewDelhi at the time of applying very 1st time.
Secondly, my email ID has been entered wrongly in their system which I came to know through my Caips Notes.
Note: Infact once they have sent a mail asking me to do my final Updation. Since they have entered a wrong mail ID in their system and luckly there are nobody with that Mail ID, the same mail has been BOUNCED back. After that they (CHC) has sent a letter through regular postal mail.
Referring / Quoting my Caips Notes, I feel like writting a letter asking them to correct. But currently, my file has been taken for processing as I am running 66 months (applied in Jan 2004 and done final updation on 1st october 2008).
Is it good to send a letter at this time? What are Pros and Cons of either sending the letter or NOT sending?
What do you say?
Thanks and Regards, Venkat.KL [Venkatanarasimha K.L]

Hello,
I am in India and My consultant is a Canadian CSIC approved consultant and he is also a citizen of Canada.
Now, my question to you is - whether the CHC charges any amount to canadian citizen agents to obtain CAIPS for some residing ion India ???
Is it free to obtain CAIPS of my file by my Canadian Agent ? As he is charging me extra for this small service??
Please reply at earliest..
Thanks.... |

If you are in Canada and order caps, it is free. but if you are not in Canada and someone else do it on your behalf. It cost 5 dollar (gov charge). However, considering the fact that he is putting time and effort to order this for you. I think it is fair to charge something between 40 to 60 dollar |

I ordered the caps for my parents. They are applying under provincial programs. In their caps file there is almost nothing. It is just their personal information, and the confirmation of application fee. Is it because I ordered it too soon? or there is something bad here?

If there is no information available except the few pointers you mentioned above I would say that they haven't actually started assessing the case yet. To answer your question
1. No there is nothing bad/-ve to assessment of your parents file coz CIC actually has not even started IA for it. 2. I think anyone here will be in a better state to reply on that if you provide the "case applied on" date and the "sent to" CIC office |
