Hi all, I have been waiting for IA for 30 months now (Hong Kong Office, obviously, ha), when I checked CIC website, it states that 80% of all cases finalize in 34 months, is that data reliable?
I recently received my CAIPS, it hasn't been changed since I last checked (a year ago), my bring forward date is still Feb 09, any insight? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello....I submitted my application (under simplified process) in Nov 2007. Haven't heard anything from CIC after it sent out a "letter of interest" exactly a year ago. |

| Hi, CIC website now shows 80% of all cases finalize in 39 months (it has been updated). As they said, past processing times may not indicate the length of time it will take to finalize applications in the future. So they are not very reliable i guess. Also, when CIC was waiting for new rules to come into effect, they didn't work on any old files during that time so they have some catching up to do and that will delay the processing further. |

| oh....I recently looked up another discussion forum...Based upon the information over there HK office hasn't started reviewing any application under SAP yet. Gosh.... those after Feb 27, 2008 are already moving; we guys under SAP seem to be a "lost generation". |

Hi Singh,
SAP means Simplified Application Process...it is for those submitting applications between Sep 1, 2006 and Feb 27, 2008. You are not under SAP. |

| Hi Singh,...I guess your wife needs to have IELTS in the application packet under the new process. I would guess the case number will be issued within half a year after your wife has sent out the application...Cheers/ |

Hi Nls
Thanks for the reply , firstly as frankly speaking We have done thru a Immigration Consultant as they said once you have receive the File number within in 3 month time you have to prepare for the ILET result as they recommend us & at the moment my wife going to take exam probably early next month time and also fund proof, medical etc ..
As I'm not sure whether they said to be correct as so far they are proficiency , professional and their every day experience they shouldn't be wrong ? as I'm right
Will be grateful with your feed back on above matter if you guide me with your past experience
Thanks - Singh , |

I sent my request in Aug 2006 but the website says they started processing my application on Oct 2006, so am I still on the waiting list? Or are they processing people from 2006 in general? Thanks.

| They have started processing applicants with a AOR date of August 2006, yours is Oct 2006 so i guess you have to wait few more months. |
