Hi,
I would like to know what is the amount of money needed to be shown to the Canadian authorities when you land in Canada. I am planning to carry some in hard cash and the rest in travellers cheques. The total would still be less than the 10,000$ as required by the Canadian authorities. Besides, I have an international bank account, will the statement of account from the bank suffice?? During the immigration process, I had submitted these statement of account.
So, is it manadtory to carry $10,000 with you either in hard cash or travellers cheque or both and will the statement of account suffice along with the money I carry to prove that you have sufficient funds??
Regards

Aeyy, just try to keep it simple.
"Carry the proof with you to show that you have CAD $10,000 that can be utilized by you at any time"
Taking $10k in cash with you will not be ideal....go figure |

| As long as you can prove liquid money anywhere in the world, you are good. Taking cash is an option but not a preferred option like flash said |
