HI RSHREE, I applied for my PR through the Port of Spain, Trinidad consulate in Nov 2005, sent updated documents in January 2008. I'm now in a common law relationship and in April they sent me a declaration of common law union form to be completed. I sent the form in May. I received my CAIPS about a month ago and have been given 75 points according to the assessment summary. I have yet to receive a medical request. Should I be concerned? I sent them an email two weeks ago and I got a response saying that my file is in queue to be reviewed. I know patience is key but I'm wondering if its possible they're tied up with study permit applications or performing my background checks at this time. By the way, I am presently a Masters in Health Care Mgmt student in Canada.

Wadadliqueen: Although i'm not rshree, nonetheless i'll like to chip-in my understanding of your situation. I think you should not worry yourself decoding the e-mail. From my experience coupled with what have read on this forum, e-mail from Buffalo is usually generic. More often than not, it does not address your specific need. Just keep your cool for it would surely come and it will not delay.

Hi Friends,
I have one question.
Yesterday i went through my CAIPS notes which received last month. There is one IMM1017S-24-7-7 MEK (IO). Is this medical? If this is medical means request means i was through but suddenly they changed their mind. Now there is one more IO-SYL is handlimg my file. |

Hi Islandgirl, it took about a month or so for me to receive my CAIPS. I'm in Canada so I got mine for free. CHC is not very reliable in terms of email responses.

Wadadliqueen: Thank you for responding so quickly. You should hear from CHC soon, I think at this stage they are conducting background checks. I wish you all the best as you continue the process
