Hi everyone,

My wife and I filled PR last Dec. 2005 and it is now in process. At the moment, we are looking for a job in Alberta, Canada. I am a graduate of Social Work and have experiences in community organizing and development and presently working as a program officer in a private rehabilitation center for psychological, behavioral and substance abuse. My wife is a certified public accountant and presently working in a bank. We tried to apply in a job agencies / headhunters in that area, unfortunately they could not process our papers because we are not presently living in the said area. How long will it take to process our PR and how can we get job sponsorship or temporary working visa? Is there a website that we can apply directly to the employer who can give us job sponsorship for a temporary or permanent working visa?

Thanks.

evaluating your credentials is the first step
locating potential employers is the second
networking with dept. heads and peers is the third
pre-scheduling interviews is the forth
landing in canada in the fifth
flipping your visa is the sixth
